If you need to receive data from the Speedway Revolution reader via a serial connection (RS-232), then you have two options to do so. The reader's serial port is accessed through the GPIO port on the reader as illustrated here:
For serial communication, it will require connection of the following 3 pins:
Reader's RS232TX - Pin 3 in above diagram - Connect to host device's RX
Reader's RS232RX - Pin 2 in above diagram - Connect to host device's TX
Reader's RS232TX - Pin 3 in above diagram - Connect to host device's RX
Reader's RS232RX - Pin 2 in above diagram - Connect to host device's TX
Reader's GND - Pin 7 in above diagram - Connect to host device's GND.
