Impinj is announcing the end-of-life process for the Impinj xArray gateway. Introduced in 2014, Impinj xArray uses select third-party components that are no longer available.
Several alternative readers and gateway products are available for RAIN RFID solutions. In many common use cases, the Impinj xSpan gateway, with its ability to track bi-directional movement of items along one dimension, can be a suitable alternative. Additionally, the Impinj R700 and Speedway fixed readers, and Impinj partner-built readers using the Impinj E family reader chips, may be suitable.
The objective of this notice is to allow for your appropriate planning and the opportunity for last-time purchases of the Impinj xArray. The current inventory of Impinj xArray gateways will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
