Dear Impinj Customer,
As part of our continuous improvement process, Impinj will be implementing a different format for the QR code shown on the Impinj R700 RAIN RFID reader certification label. This label appears on the single-pack shipping box and on the bottom side of the R700 reader (1 per single-pack box, 1 per reader). This update will allow improvements to Impinj workflow during production of this product and align with future reader products.
There is no change to the form, fit, or function of the product. The label has the same paper, adhesive, and artwork used on the current product in production. Only the QR code in the bottom right corner of the certification label is affected. We are letting you know of this change in case you use this QR code for your own internal tracking and management of R700 readers.
The new QR code format will be introduced starting July 2025. Customers will continue to receive packages with the original label until the inventory is depleted.
